One of the main effort at GENTRAS is focused on the development of new applications and new technological platforms aimed at enlarging the usefulness of DNA tracing technologies to ameliorate everyday life of people. A particularly promising technology which GENTRAS is actively developing is called extrinsic DNA barcoding. GENTRAS also develops and maintains proprietary DNA marker databases of informative STR loci, unique sequences and DNA barcoding sequences for a variety of custom applications.
