GENTRAS is heavily committed to choose from complete annotated genomes and from GeneBank sequences regions candidate to be polymorphic STR markers. These potential markers are evaluated in panels as detectors of race/strain/cultivar specificity, together with sequences published in the literature.

Specific databases devoted to different STR evaluation projects are implemented, reporting the genotype/phenotype correlations and the conditions internally used for PCR amplification and detection.

These STR panels are not publicly released, representing internal tools for custom tracing projects to be developed with GENTRAS customers.
